Why this exists

Every business we talk to has the same story. They bought software. Then they changed how they work so the software would be happy. Now there’s a spreadsheet on the side to cover what the software won’t do, and the owner is the only one who understands the whole picture.

For a long time, the only fix was to pay a developer a lot of money to build something custom. Most shops can’t justify that, so they live with the mess.

That’s the part that changed. Building software around one specific business is no longer a six‑figure job. So that’s what we do — one business at a time, built the way that business already runs.

What we believe

• The software should bend. You shouldn’t.
• If what you have works, we leave it alone.
• Money, promises, and customers stay in human hands until you decide otherwise.
• You should be able to fire us and keep everything.
• We say what it costs before we start.
• If we can’t help, we say so.

What we won’t do

We won’t rip out software that’s doing its job. We won’t put a chatbot in front of your customers and disappear. We won’t let something make a promise to a customer that you haven’t approved. And we won’t put a client’s name, a testimonial, or a made‑up number on this website to look bigger than we are.

The paperwork

Modern Main Streets is registered as a Texas sole proprietorship operating under a DBA, and works out of North Texas. We’re not a franchise and we’re not reselling somebody else’s product. Everything we build runs in your accounts, under your name, on services you pay for directly.
